Warranty Wants me to pay more than i paid for the iterm for a fix

I in the not so far past bought a high pressure washer from Pick n Pay William Moffett hypermarket. at the stage of the purchase i was promised sorts of warrantees and guarantees. The machine did not make it past four months. i took it back last month. the manager could not care less, he was arrogant and condescending. eventually since they could not replace it with another, they took it in as its warranty is still in place. to my surprise i got a phone call advising that i owe them an amount of R1116 to fix machine. firstly the machine cost less than the fix brand new. the item just smoked up and never worked again. it was still within its six months.

I am disappointed at the way pick n pay handle their after sale service. its as if now they are doing me a favor.

i want these people to keep their word and not treat us black people like idiots.
