Warning to Pick n Pay Edenvale customers

On Monday the 16th of March I was shopping at the Pick n Pay Edenvale store in the Van Riebeeck Mall in Edenvale. They are currently advertising in their store that customers can purchase 2 x packets of 125g Lay's Deli Chips for R 26.00, this promotion is valid until the 29th of March 2015. What they fail to inform their customers is that the stock that they are selling expires on the 18th of March 2015. When I realised this, I took a photo of the promotion sign as well as the expiry date printed on the Lay's Deli Chips. I have contacted both Pick n Pay as well as Simba and both companies acknowledge that the promotion is a Pick n Pay promotion, however neither of them are willing to admit that they are running a promotion until the end of the month providing expired stock to customers.<br> Is this now a Simba and Pick n Pay strategy to advertise certain discounts in their stores, knowing full well that their stock will expire long before the promotion ends.<br> Sounds like a **** to me...<br> The worst factor was that Trinity the PnP Store Manager stated that he has no expired stock in his store and that I must have been mistaken. I have since sent him the photographic evidence!!
