Vulgar Stupidity

Pick 'n Pay V&A Waterfront Cape Town. On Friday 23rd of December a girl aged 20 came to shop there.

She was having a fight with her boyfriend over the phone and did not concentrate fully when paying for her shopping cart. She bought a chicken wrap worth +- R40, but had a lipice in her hand worth R19,95 that she forgot to purchase and the cashier did not see, remind or ask about it. When she got to the door the door siren went off. After trying to explain her innocent mistake, where no one wanted to hear her out she was arrested and put into the jail cells.

The guard at Pick 'n Pay still throigh out her handbag to look for what else was "******" and from the content took for herself a Clicks baught **** nude colored nail kit.

I understand theft is theft. But this girl stopped, realised the mistake and took out her money to pay for it, yet you still insisted she stole it and had her taken to the police. There she had to sit during Christmas time untill Wednesday the 27th of December. She sat amongst ****rs, *****s, druggies and afraid for her life, her sanity, her human rights listened to their reason for beong in there. R800 theft here and R13 000 theft there and she sit there for an innocent R19.95 lipice. She was forced to go to the loo infront of men and women, to go to the shower, to sleep on a thin matress with flea covered blankets, no pillow alongside walls grafitised with vulgar sentiment and smeered blood.

When taken to court, she was presented with options for a representative. She works away from home, she has no family here, she works as a waitress. She has no money to pay a laywer. She did however speak to one who told her to plead gulty as if she pleads ungulty the case will go on for months where she will need to pay a laywer every time. And all this for a lipice she inteded to pay for and had the money to pay for.

Pick 'n Pay at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town you disgust me. I will ensure my friends, family and theirs hear about what you did to this poor girl and that you never see us or our money again.

I have one question about your stupidity. She pays for a R40 wrap, but *****s a R20 lipice??? And she has the money in the bag thrown out to pay for it which she tells you about. And the guard *****s from her in return??? You throw her around, she has bluemarks on her arms from where you handled her.... And all you have to say is "Law is Law". Anyone can see and hear she did not *****. She forgot to pay for it. Honestly myself included. We all have walked out woth something due to forgetting to pay, but atleast we admit it go back and pay.

To sumarise it again. Innocent mistake. Explain given. Guard stole from her on process. Vulgar prison cells for 6 days and all this because of a R19.95 lipice.

Sick.
