Very unhappy customer

I placed a order on Wednesday morning(25/03/2020) for collection at your Boksburg branch on Saturday(28/03/2020) between 3pm and 4pm. I phoned the branch on Saturday morning and spoke to a very rude lady named Jenny. I asked her if my order would be ready for collection as I was coming from brakpan to fetch it, she told me that If the website said it would be ready, then it would be ready.

I arrived at the boksburg branch at 3:10pm, and was told to talk to Webster, who then informed me that all online orders were suspended on Friday morning, and clients were informed ( he too was quite rude and not very helpful). I explained to him that the R2784.69 had already been taken off my account and I was not notified at all.

I as a client of Pick N Pay am extremely disappointed and unhappy with the service that I received (or not received) especially in this extremely difficult time....... Pick n Pay advertises convince, but I was inconvenienced by driving all the way from brakpan to boksburg in a lock down and then still having to spend time and more money to get the items that I needed because my order was not given to me.

On a side note, not one staff member at the boksburg branch had masks, gloves or sanitizer....... This is shocking!

As of today (31/03/2020) after sending numerous emails and attempting to phone the call center, I have not received any response from Pnp and I still have not received my money back.......

Hi Bronwyn,

Thank you for reaching our to Pick n Pay

Please accept our apologies for the inconveniences caused to you. Please speak to your bank to have the reservation amount set aside for you order to be released to you as Pick n Pay Online shopping did not deduct the funds from your bank.

We have done a follow up on this order for you and have been advised as per below:

Due to an unforeseen temporary supply disruption, many Click n Collect orders were not ready for collection on the selected booked slot.

This means the following:

-          The slot selected may not be applicable anymore and the store will process the orders as and  when stock becomes available.
-          We will still place a hold or reserve on the funds – so you will see an amount on hold for the order even though we may not process and pick it for the original booked collection slot.
-          We will advise you once picked, to collect the order when it is ready.
-          At this stage, no future collection slots will be available and have been suspended until further notice.

We can suggest placing an order for delivery via our website provided that your address is deliverable or contact your nearest PnP Supermarket to order via the Collect Direct service - https://www.pnp.co.za/pnpstorefront/pnp/en/collect-direct

We sincerely apologise once again for this and thank you for your patience and  understanding.

We value you as a Pick n Pay customer and are committed to improve continually on our service levels.

Kind Regards,
The Pick n Pay Team

This is not an acceptable response. I do not appreciate a copy paste response from Pick n Pay. This is rediculous and I will be furthering all this information to the consumer board for further investigation
