Very Poor Customer Service.

I'm at Pic n Pay workshop in town Durban, till number 12 to be specific.

I came here to grab a few things after my night shift because I'm going home in PMB.

So as I was done, I went to join the que and the que is very long there's about 15 to 20 more people behinde me and I'm the fifth one.

After standing here for about atleast 15 minutes patiently waiting for my turn to pay for my things.

The Cashier just stood up at axactly 9:30am an told us she's going for her tea break.

As she said this she walked away, in this que I'm standing with elderly people all complaining amongst themselves.

I'm sure we all know it can be very hard to stand for so long and to be told by someone who's supposed be providing the good customer service to their customers.

Really dissapointed at Pic n Pay, did not expect this level of service. The Pic n Pay I used to know put their customers first.

Not sure what's going on, as I'm typing this I'm still waiting ant it is now 9:49am.

Hope you do something about this, I'm not only just complaining for myself but for te elderly. Seeing they're already vulnerable!

Hey there,
Thanks for your response on my Complaint.
I must say I was patiently waiting for it, further more to add to my Complaint.
I'd like to mention when I finally got to the till, te cashier was soo rude to me.
Firstly she shouted and said she doesn't take any trolleys and asked that we changed our que and join the othe one. Which was very long as the store wast starting to pack up.
I tried to ignore her she went on shouting at me as if I'm a kid, asking what I was doing there with the trolley because she's only assisting those who are withdrawing their monies.
When I told her I had been waiting for almost an hour there waiting for her to come back from her tea break, and if we're not supposed to be there why wasn't a notice written there.
That that line is dedicated for that, she told me I needed to pack my own grocery because she wasn't going to do it for me.
Told her I wasn't going to do that, an another employee stepped in to assist with packing my things because I think she could see I was getting more angry.
When se got there she also added, passing remarks. Asking each other what were we doing there, because I wasn't the only one who had their grocery on that que.
Not sure what's going on with that Pick n Pay, and the level of customer service.
If this is how they treat cutomers I'm afraid for my Mom or Dad, that when they go there this is how they get treated by the stuff.
Could you please resolve this and see what you do about those 2 employees, you can even pull a camera footage to see everything.
I don't think they value their jobs and they're running the image of such and good businesses, to be honest next time I'm there I don't want to see them there, especially the cashier.
She was soo rude, I've never heard of an employee going back and forth. Back chatting a customer, what happened to the good old "custome is always right" or that jas changed with all that's going on around us.
Things are bad for all of us, we all go through stressfull days. But taking it out on other people isn't professional.
If anything you should be gratefull you still have a job when the rest of the country is living of R350!
I hope this gets sorted out.
Thanks once more fr getting back to me. Yes you can share my deatails with the relevant store, I'm keen to hear from them.
Available anytime between 8am to 12mid day.
Cheers,Matia Mthembu
