Vehicle damaged by Pick 'n Pay trolley
On the 10th February 2020 while my wife went inside Pick n Pay Observatory I was sitting in my vehicle in the parking area. I heard this loud bang and discovered that a trolley had rammed hard into my vehicle and caused damage. I approached the manager Grant who came to investigate and took some photographs. A week later I called the store and he told me to contact the trolley company. I called them and the manager of the trolley company told me that he is not responsible and abruptly told me that I should find the customer that left the trolley in the parking area unattended and claim from that individual. I made contact with the manager Grant from Pick n Pay Obs again to say how rude the trolley company manager was to me. Grant said not to worry as their insurance would sort it out. I made contact with their brokers MARSH and further had to make contact with their insurance SHA. I was told to obtain 3 quotations on the vehicle and submit it to them. I've filled out all documentation, advidavit, quotations and emailed to both brokers and insurance. 3 months later on Monday18 May 2020 I received a mail from Pick n Pay's insurance telling me that they won't be processing the claim as I have to take the matter up with the trolley company. I've sent numerous emails to Grant and accounts lady Monique and all she told me today via telephone is that she is sorry and there's nothing they can do on their side. I've been given the run around for 3 months and spent a lot of time and money getting quotes for repairs to my vehicle, phoning their brokers, phoning their insurance brokers only to hear there's nothing they can do. I do my daily and monthly grocery shopping at Pick n Pay Observatory. They need to take some kind of responsibility as it is their trolley which damaged my vehicle. Could anyone please assist and would appreciate any feedback.
