My sister and I entered Pick n Pay at Jubliee Mall around 13h00 today from Dischem. The security lady told us to put our things at the parcel counter and I had refused because we were only there to buy doughnuts.
The store manager was quite unprofessional and patronising when he was trying to address the issue between the security lady and I. He said that apparently Pick n Pay always implements policies at any time and that goods from other stores were not allowed in. When I asked when this new policy was implemented, he then proceeded to answer a personal phone call and left me and my sister standing there. That is when I decided to leave the store. Told him that I would be contacting head office about this, he told me to go ahead as they were used to people like me complaining.
I'm quite displeased at how I was treated today because I'd like to believe that I am a loyal Pick n Pay customer. I just don't understand how such a big big brand would hold different standards according to different geographical areas. I've always shopped at Pick n Pay Hyper Norwood while having goods from other stores without any hassle until today's incident at Jubilee Mall.
