Utterly disappointed!

I was in a fitting room at the Pick n Pay clothing store at Mall of the South, where after, I discovered that the door was not opening. The lock mechanism looked like it was faulty to begin with. But I could deal with having been locked in, what I couldn't deal with was the lack of communication from the staff. Whoever was attempting to open the door on the other side didn't bother relaying that they were trying to get me out, or if I was alright or anything of that sort. Even though I asked what was happening! It wasn't until I had called my brother who went into the fitting room next door climbed up and assisted me over, that I got out. An apology thereafter was the first time I had someone from the store speak to me. The door getting jammed wasn't a fault on their part, I get that (although Pick n Pay should really do something about the lock system!!!!) I was so utterly disappointed with the staffs inability to communicate with me whilst I was on the other side. I shudder to think how long I might have been there if it wasn't for my brothers quick thinking and if their had to be someone who would react hysterically in such a situation!!

What is with companies not bothering to educate their staff on effective customer service in any situation!!!
