Useless discount deduction system
I am tired of buying stuff from pick n pay bedford centre that is marked onntge shelf in special, yet once you have paid no discount has been deducted and I have then paid the full price.. This is not the first time and will not be the last time..do I need to now take photos and then complain at the teller before I pay and show the discount advertised on the shelf since it hasnt been loaded on the system, yet advertised on the shelf. Then to sort out the error I must now stand in a queue at the CUSTOMER SERVICES COUNTER and wait till customers, who are purchasing - sometimes baskets full of items and don't want to stand in a long queues on a weekend, decide to purchase their items at a counter meant for refunds and queries. I went into the Bedford centre pick n pay twice and spent almost R1000 and then still have to show staff discounts advertised on a shelf because staff are not aware of the specials as well as these specials are not loaded onto the system to go off automatically when scanned at the teller. Then after you have paid the discount wasn't deducted at all as advertised on the shelf! Then if it is deducted you have to ensure the amount equals the discounts advertised as the tellers screen only deducts the amounts at the bottom in which case it should show when the item is scanned! I do not want anymore survey emails because they are a waste of my damn time as I doubt any person actually goes through every survey that gets completed by a customer.
I will definitely be changing where I shop from now on such as CHECKERS as specials advertised get deducted off the screen once scanned WOOLWORTHS as well shows the deducted amounts once scanned.... The service at pick n pay bedford centre and other branches are just getting worse by the week, which irritates a customer more and more. This review is to bring to your attention that there needs to be a change in your customer service, computer program, discount capturing system and staff training on specials advertised in store not just on pamphlets by the door and in community newspapers.
This is not the only branch of pick n pay that needs to change the way they do business. I do not wish for a call back regarding this review, this is just to bring to your attention how annoyed I am regarding your level of service since a client has to queue in front of Customer service for refunds and discrepancies. While people are using the service desk to purchase groceries..
Regards, absolutely Annoyed

Best regards,
The only stores that have ever notified me at the till points or near the queue lines, that their systems are offline would be Woolworths and Edgars.
Not once have i seen signage at the tills or heard any tellers or announcements stating the systems are offline or discount system is offline. Tellers should also be aware of specials advertised on the shelves, as i stated above not that they are aware of specials advertised in pamphlets unless you have one in hand and if you do - another customer might take it to show an item that they are purchasing and the teller is not aware of the specials advertised.
