Upsetting Experience at Pick and Pay Westwood Mall

1 August 2019, I had a really terrible customer experience at Westwood Mall. I walked into the store at 6.03pm. I picked up 6 items. Stood in a queue for 20 minutes and arrived at an extremely unhappy Cashier named Fikile.

I asked Fikile if she was doing alright today.... The response was "why do I not look okay today" and My OH My was I amazed at this sort of response.

I wonder why is Fikile in a customer facing position if she is so arrogant ? In saying that and with the response that was received by Fikile, a customer had rode on the emotion of Fikile's and spoke to me badly in the process.

I shop at Pick and Pay Westwood very often, sometimes 5 out of 7 days in the week and this isn't the first time I have had to deal with an upset/arrogant staff member. As much as this will now be extremely inconvenient to shop at Westville Checkers, I would rather do so than expect upset staff 99.9% of the time.

This is a humble plea for management to teach their staff some values. How will people expect to move forward in life if their attitudes toward other people, do not change ?

Another issue, there are approximately 12 till points or more at this store however at 6pm peak time, there were only 5 till points open excluding the cigarette counter. Can management plan properly to ensure that there are sufficient cashiers available during month end/beginning of the month
