Good day Pick n Pay The Mall of Africa

On the 05th of December 2020 at around 15:30. I was ****** of my phone inside the store.

while Shopping at Pick n Pay Clothing at The Mall of Africa, which is deemed to be the safest mall in Africa. My phone was taken out of my bag and ******.

Upon realizing that my bag has been opened while shopping, i asked the till lady to call my number to verify if it will ring in store and it was already switched off in a matter of seconds.

My biggest problem was that when the manager was called He took his time and did not treat the matter as urgent. Once he finally came out I requested that He take me to the camera room to see the culprits that ****** me of my phone. He responded by saying " Sorry Mam, The camera showed that two ladies are the ones that searched you I can only provide you with a description of what they are wearing not to show you on the camera. For us to show you the camera you need to first go report the matter to the police and then come back with the investigating officer then we shall show you the footage"

when i asked him to forward the footage to center management so that we can track theses culprits at the mall before they leave, Again He refused and told me that they are gone and so is the phone, i must just accept that. The center management and security will not help me because He can assure me that they have probably went to the car to change their clothes and will not be detected by the cameras.

I pleaded with him till he left me standing there and told me to leave a number where i can be contacted should they find anything.

Till today i am still shocked by the treatment and how they allow so many clients in their shop during this pandemic and still refusing to assist when their help is required.

This shop is not safe and the stuff is not helpful. I personally advise shoppers to be super vigilant when going into that clothing store. Do not go in when there is a huge crowd, as it appears to be a hotspot for *******. i find out that I was not the first victim some ladies have lost their wallets as well.

Pick n Pay really needs to investigate its stuff, it gives a feeling that their stuff is working with these culprits/syndicates/******s.

I am not happy to be sitting with a contract debt for a phone that ****** in plain sight while the manager was sitting in front of the camera surveillance watching the ordeal happening and not doing anything to assist.
