Unprofessional Conduct
Good Day
Yesterday morning while going about my business at Pick n Pay Kilburn I noticed something very disturbing. A particular staff member called Kayce reported for duty after being off sick, her supervisor Susan seemingly refused to accept her note from the clinic and in a very inappropriate manner in full view of the other staff members and customers chased her away and advised her to return to work the following day or Monday. This is very unprofessional and in bad taste to handle something like this out in the open, this shows me that Susan lacks the emotional intelligence and experience to be qualified as a supervisor. This spurred my memory of another incident whilst I was there where a another customer had bought Kayce biltong and Susan needed to sign for it, she then proceeded to throw the biltong onto the counter. The customer who had bought the biltong was visibly shocked, coincidentally the customer who had bought the biltong frequents the establishment as do I. The incident which I am referring to yesterday will be available on the footage history before it is overwritten if the other staff members perhaps feel too intimidated to confirm my account of events. I am deeply saddened by this incident as I remember the look on her face as she exited the establishment as she obviously needs her job and the remuneration that accompanies it. Furthermore myself and my family are big supporters of your brand and there is also considerable purchasing power that accompanies that. For example my brother who frequents the establishment is a shareholder at a media company and he resides in discovery so he makes use of your establishment daily, my employer who also resides in the area also frequents the establishment daily and other family members who hold prominent positions within government also make use of your establishment. I have worked for standard bank for many years and have one year left to complete my bcompt accounting degree with UNISA, 3 years ago I was employed as a channel manager for caxton and I have never seen someone being treated like this. The point that I am making is that I am able to exercise great influence within my networks so if this matter is not satisfactorily handled it will obviously lead to loss of revenue and reputational damage. My experience with Pick N Pay Kilburn is very pleasant as the management of the business are very competent and ensure the operations are well maintained which in my opinion is the reason for their success so it is just a pity that individuals such as Susan do not conduct themselves in a manner which is in line with the values of Pick N Pay.
