Unhygienic Food

I write this in utmost disappointment.

I visited a store in Stanger on the 6th of January 2018 as I was in a rush and needed a few items. I filled my basket as normal and proceeded toward the bakery as I'm a ***** of the melting moment biscuits that pick n pay have, upon looking into the enclosure in which they are kept I was given a horrific surprise when I noticed there was a huge green fly sitting on one of the biscuits ! Now from what I know about consumer rights is you should not be selling anything that is not in good condition. I have done research on flies as well and it seems that you can indeed become sick if you come into contact with food that has been contaminated by these insects. According to my findings a fly deposits germs and debris immediately after landing on an item. This particular fly was on the biscuit for over 15 minutes which means if I had bought that biscuit or anyone else for that matter and ate it, we could have gotten terribly sick ! I didn't bother asking the attendant about it as she was busy on her phone and I didn't have the time however I did take a picture of it and can attach it if you like. This is the first time I've ever decided to complain as I'm normally a very laid back guy however this time I am really disgusted at the level of hygiene in pick n pay. I will never be purchasing anything from any of your stores again and will be letting everyone know through word of mouth and social media. I sincerely hope pick n pay have a resolution to this before I decide to take this further where I may also seek advice from the Ombudsmen.
