Unhappy with the product delivered
I am extremely unhappy with the service I have received regarding a recent Pick n Pay ASAP order.
On 29/05/2026, I ordered a 6-pack of milk through Pick n Pay ASAP. Upon delivery, I noticed that the milk had an expiry date of 22/06/2026, leaving less than a month before expiry. I was dissatisfied with the short shelf life of the product and therefore requested a refund.
Six days later, I received a response from a customer care consultant named Siyabonga, advising me that I would need to return the milk to the store in order to process the refund.
This response is both inconvenient and unreasonable. The very reason I chose the Pick n Pay ASAP service was to avoid having to travel to the store. I also paid a delivery fee for the convenience of having my groceries delivered to my home. It does not make sense that I should now incur additional time and travel costs to return a product that should not have been delivered in this condition in the first place.
I would like Pick n Pay to arrange collection of the product from my residence and process the refund accordingly. I also request an explanation as to why a product with such a limited remaining shelf life was deemed acceptable for delivery to a customer.
