Unhappy with service received and them selling expired goods

I have always regarded Pick n pay to be the best retailer in South Africa but to my surprise on the 01/03/22 they are not, on the 27/02/22 I bought C***** cheese 800g x 2 on special for R168.00 in Stone Towers King Williams Town in the Eastern Cape and never checked the expiry date,on the 01/03 that's when I noticed that they expired on the 16 and 17/02/2022 and I had lost my till slip,I then went to the nearest Pick n pay which is in Stutterheim as I am residing there and was told by Brandon working there I cannot return the cheese as it's perishables n I don't have a till slip for it,he said they will not be able resell it as it expired I must rather take it to Stone Towers Pick n pay where I initially bought it. IS THIS HOW PICK N PAY TREATS CUSTOMERS???I know I should always keep my till slip but I just didn't think this would happen at this shop .
