Unhappy pick n pay customer
I went to the Pick n Pay at Jean Crossing on 28 July 2021 for a few grocery items. At the till point my card was declined after entering my ATM card pin. At that point, I received an sms from my bank (which is normal after a transaction) confirming that the amount had indeed been set aside for pick n pay. I showed this sms to the cashier who advised that I should pay again as my card had been declined. She then upon having a second look at my sms told me that this does happen and that customers funds are normally returned to their bank within 24 hours. I had no reason to doubt this as it has happened at another retailer and my funds were returned with no issue. I took both the declined slips from the cashier as proof. I have had been having a hard time trying to reach pick n pay Jean Crossing management after the 24 hour period lapsed and my funds have not reverted to my bank. It is very frustrating not having my funds returned to me and getting no joy from pick n pay. I am a very unhappy customer who is out of pocket and pick n pay don't bother answering their phones.
