Unhappy and disgusted customer

We have been loyal customers at the Towers ,Pick N Pay , Boksburg for the last 20 years. The owners as well as staff has always been very friendly and helpful. It was an absolute pleasure shopping there. Unfortunately they recently sold the business and new owners took over.Ever since then our shopping hasnt been the same. Well today was our last day. I approached the owner regarding specials that they advertised and the item that we wanted is not on special anymore. According to them its a mistake on the printing and we can not have the item at the price advertised. The same item is advertised at Checkers for the reduced price i want to pay. What annoys me is the fact that yesterday we were at Checkers where we could have bought the item for the reduced price, but didnt as my wife said we will buy at Pickn Pay Towers tomorrow and then we get Smart Shoppers points as well. When i discussed this with Jimmy***ner), he said too bad for me. He is not willing to match the price. They made a mistake on the printing , so sorry for me. Not willing to assist and keep a loyal customer happy. I understand if the item was not on special at another shop or supplier , but it was. As a Business Owner myself ,you always go out of your way to keep customers happy. The competition outside is tough and customers are Street-Wise. With the economical difficulties the country is going through , people are looking at the cheapest possible prices. Loyalty doesnt exist anymore. Jimmy , in all honesty is not just about the money but also the way you speak and treat your customers. If this is the way you treat your customers , I feel sorry for you. Wake up my friend.... There are plenty of stores in the area. I gave you the opportunity to rectify the matter , but your arrogance and pride is more important than a Happy Customer. So sorry for you..............
