Unenthusiastic staff

This story is referring to the pick n pay at the liberty Midlands mall, Pietermaritzburg.

I have never met such an unhappy bunch of staff. I loath going to that shop but unfortunately I work at the mall and have to go to the pick n pay there to get goods for work. It always seems like such an effort for the teller to greet you, let alone give a smile. They always look so happy to be at work. NOT! I went there last week and had to wait for ages for a void to be done for the customer in front of me. We had to wait for the only staff member there that can do a void. Why do they only have 1 person in that whole shop that can do a void? When she did finally appear, she was in no rush to get to the cashier. I later overheard her saying she was busy checking her pay slip because she wasn't happy about how she had been paid. Surely that is something you do before/after work. Then I went to pick n pay again the next day and the guy that served me looked half dead. He barely even looked at me while serving me. I always walk into that shop feeling happy but then leave feeling depressed and angry. It hasn't only happened on those 2 occasions, it's happened many times. And I've heard many other people complain about the staff there too. It doesn't hurt to give a smile. Even if that's all they do, at least they'll show the customer that they acknowledge they are there.
