Underhanded butchery Pick 'n Pay, Pavilion, Westville ...

On Thursday I bought a fresh Lamb pack on a special at Pick 'n Pay Westville Pavilion, KZN. The amount of what amounted to fat offcuts (including a slab of fat with only trace amounts of meat), concealed underneath the top layers was too much to be accidental. A good fifth or so of the pack was unusable (and supermarket lamb is a fatty meat at the best of times). The fact that it was carefully concealed under "good", albeit already fatty, meat, is also a factor

Fresh meat processing is a task where high standards of trust need to apply.. I wonder what goes into their sausages and patties, where the deception is less evident, for instance.
