Unacceptable response from staff

I usually do my monthly shopping at the pick n Pay and the pick n Pay liquor at Redruth Village in Alberton. On Saturday I purchased a bottle of Ballantine's Whiskey which was a promotional item with a free gift inside. I purchased it and opened it when I got to the car to see what was inside only to find there was no gift inside. I took it back immediately and requested they change it only to receive a new one exactly the same as the 1st one. The store was closed already but the security recognized me and assisted. I asked them why is there no gift inside. They informed me that the box that it comes in is the gift and nothing else. I was so disgusted with this response as it states free gift inside the box. I have experienced this problem at many other stores and bottle stores where the staff remove the gifts but never expected this from a Pick n Pay liquor store. Because of something so small I will now not be using pick n Pay as my monthly shopping store and rather find a different retailer to support.
