Unable to order platters on line or over phone

I attempted to place an order for various platters via the telephone and the staff were addament that I needed to go into the store to place the order and pay cash. I have previously at other pick n pay branch ordered via email and paid cash on collection. I cannot understand that Pick 'n Pay can operate like this in the times we live in. My order is 48 hours in advance.
