Traumatic Experience from PNP Willowbridge and PNP ASAP
I placed an order on PNP ASAP today (01.11.2023). The Order#***6. Delivery was supposed to happen between 13:00pm and 13:30pm. The delivery arrived at 11:40am, I was excited as I did not expect delivery at that time, and it meant that I did not have to go hungry for much longer. My colleague enquired about the contents inside the bag as the bag felt light. Upon opening the bag, we discovered that the Rotisserie chicken which was on special for R73.10 was omitted. Initially I thought that the driver might have forgotten the chicken (as this is a hot foods product and should not have been packed with the other products).I decided to check the app and saw that the chicken was marked as "out of stock". We decided to go inside PNP Willowbridge to lodge our complaint as this is the second time, using the PNP app, that product's are out of stock without us being duly informed. I spoke to Krystel at PnP Willowbridge who said that I must contact PNP ASAP as there is nothing she can do.I then requested to speak to the branch manager Mitchioo. The grounds for my complaint were as follows: - I placed the order for the Rotisserie chicken which was on special. - I added additional items to ensure that my cart contained items that ensured that the minimum value of R100 was met to endure delivery took place. - I used a coupon for free delivery. - I was never informed about the out of stock product nor provided with an alternative option. - Delivery took place at 11:40am which meant that there was sufficient time after loadshedding to have prepared the order. PNP ASAP alleged that I cancelled the order, yet delivery of the other products took place. I spent nearly one hour arguing at the store in front of customers. After the deli manager decided to give me anything from the deli to the same value of the chicken as it was now sold out, I then made the choice of chicken pieces. On our way to the exit i was abruptly stopped by the Deli manager as he had PNP ASAP on the line and insisted I actually cancelled the order, literally insinuating that we are *****sters. I asked him how was the order cancelled when everything else on the order was delivered? The treatment I received is disheartening because I frequent PNP Willowbridge. The service I usually receive is top standard. However, the manner in which complaints are dealt with is concerning. I felt embarrassed as the entire ordeal was handled at the entrance of the store and the customers witnessed this especially when the Deli manager insisted we cancelled the order and appeared to want to take the chicken pieces back.
