Thumbs up to Khumbulani the Duty Manager

Pick 'n Pay Hyper Bay West PE. Is always my choice Store. They are Service orientated, Staff friendly and always prepared to assist. The first sat.in Dec. just after 9:00 am, we visited Bay West Shopping Mall. As it was the 1st.of the month it was already busy. We walked into P'nP Hyper, there was a steady flow of customers. Hot Bread was already available & fresh rolls, cakes etc. However, once found our needed items went to the Till Pay Points. They were busy, the queue was slow-flowing, this not being the usual situation. There was unhappiness among some customers, who seemed to be anxious to pay & go. Looking around for some staff to enlighten us of the problem. We saw Khumbulani the Duty Manager at a till point. Fortunately, he was our teller, we asked why there were so little Tellers (3 Tills open)? He said that unfortunately this is all he had, as the others had as yet not arrived, and as he was the Duty Manager he too had to now "fall in". After that explanation, we realized his pressure and acknowledged that he was well capable of dealing with this problem. Well impressed by the attitude of Khumbulani the Duty Manager. We wished him well and expressed our hope that it was just due to the Taxi that they would soon be at their Till Points.
