I was at Pick and Pay Kempton Gate today 04th August 2020. Was excited as they advertised multiple specials.

Upon entering the store and starting walking up and down the ailes, no stock on shelves. Most of the specials out of stock???

We took a bag of tomatoes advertised as R13.99 with a big sign stating such. When we got to the till, it went through as R23.99. When we asked the cashier this is not as advertised, this cashier rudely stated that we are wrong and this is the correct price. What we saw as special, she stated that the special was only as at end of 10th Aug.

We then stated that today was only the 04th? Oh my word, then she really became rude.

Pick and Pay are *****ing customers money by inflating prices on a daily basis. How can tomatoes increase by R10.00 in a couple of days?

These ******* must be held accountable. Money is tight and they know that they can get away with this as we need these essential items.
