Theft from a trolley

On the 01st of November after 16:00 I wheeled my trolley with groceries into a PicnPay Liqour store in Northgate Mall, there were 2 other trolleys by the door, mine was the third. I went around the fridge to grab my ciders, went to the till, paid and went home, I didn't notice anything amiss probably because I wasn't expecting any theft in a store with a security guard by the door where the trolley was and survelliance cameras! I got home and unpacked my groceries and noticed my bag with meat and veges was missing! I was distraught, I was only able to go back to PnPay the following day and narrated my story to the security guard on duty who was so lovely and helpful. After liasing with the team that operates the survelliance cameras they confirmed that Indeed an incident had occured, someone walked in and stole my stuff out of my trolley. What is disturbing to me is that PicknPay wishes to exonerate themselves from any kind of responsibility! No mention of any steps to be taken to make sure stuff like that doesn't happen again. How about printing the picture of the ***** and plasterring it on their window? Why have security guards at the door? Why have us leave trolleys by the security guards if stuff will be taken from it! How about giving me a voucher as an apology for the theft?

I am so hurt and dissapointed.
