Theft by cashier
In December I went to Pick n Pay Mulbarton for some shopping before I left for the holidays. I was the last customer there. On my way home I realised I had left my phone at the till. As they were closing, I could not go back. But I was there the following morning as they opened their doors. I could not find the phone. Upon further investigation (seeing the footage) the cashier was seen grabbing it from beneath my bag. I asked for the footage so I could take it to the police to open a case of theft but they refused.
Upon coming back from the holidays I tried to follow up on the issue however I got no joy. When I emailed the store i was given the standard response: we will look into it. When they didn't k contacted PnP head office and got nowhere there as well. After shopping at pnp mulbart for 7 years, I no longer go there unless I have no choice. The said cashier is still gainfully employed by them!
