The pick and pay Bluff branch management needs some training and an attitude adjustment.
The pick and pay Bluff branch management needs some training and an attitude adjustment. I actually passed pick n pay bluff, was on route to checkers when we turn the car around and did our shopping at pick and pay BLUFF, I used to like the store – This was a BAD choice indeed. Walking into a hot warm store, as a customer I can understand that maintenance is done on the air conditioning units. I walked passed the butter and noticed R21.99 in front of the butter on special, so I took the Sunshine D butter. In BIG bold print the price is listed R21.99 and a product behind which is standard so, I took one of the item. Above there was another sale sign that sates – R20.99 Canola smart spread tub 500g – I didn’t want this so I just took my 1st choice. I paid for the stuff and while still in the store I checked the receipt, which I usually do, only to notice the price of butter I was charged was not what I saw on the shelf. So the cashier now asked me what is the matter, I then informed her, I was charged a different price for the butter – her reply was, “it’s not my fault, I just cashed what’s on the system. At this point I’m still fine, because she was not rude at all. Now, I was told that I had to go to the cigarette counter – No one is there…. Just keep in mind the store is not busy at all, after we try and call someone to help us, the lady from the cigarette counter appears in front of us with a -MR PRICE catalogue book in her hand, she then shouts to tell her supervisor that she is there – Shouting in front of customers is not professional at all – this is not on at all. We inform her of our dilemma for the price of the butter was marked at R21.99 but we was charged R34+. So this employee of pick and pay – the cigarette counter lady with no motion takes the butter and goes to the shelf from where I pick it up. I followed, whilst carrying a 6month baby back and forth. On the shelf there is the Sunshine D butter and in front there is a sale sign that states R21.99 in big bold print, and in small print it states “CANOLA LITE TUB”. At this point I was ok, it’s not an issue I can just return the butter, even thou the price is in front of the wrong item (I have pictures of this error that I have taken out in the store). I even walked pass the manager of the store – he didn’t seem to really care about the fact that there was an issue occurring and he just sat there. The lady at the cigarette counter now takes this issue to the supervisor – the cigarette counter lady made the supervisor (nikki something) aware that I had taken out pictures. So the supervisor says to me, “SHOW ME THE PICTURE!” I thought this was rude, but there was more. The supervisor (nikki something) after looking at the picture, then went on to say to ME, “CAN YOU NOT READ THE SIGN????” NOW I AM ****ED OFF! I am an educated individual –this supervisor (nikki something) is, an ill-mannered, rude, uncivil, and ******** person. This manner in which she communicates to customers is unprofessional on all levels . The manager and supervisor needs to know how to treat customers, there is a manner in which staff of “pick and pay” should talk to customers! There sluggish motion in the store is terrible. Another customer purchasing before me also spoke to the same supervisor (nikki something) and he too I could see as I was paying for my stuff was ****ed of at her. I had asked the lady at the cigarette counter get the manager of the store, as I want to have a word with him. After getting my refund she still didn’t call him, I then asked if she could announce for the manager, nothing happen. I then saw the manager in the store from the cigarette counter, carrying my baby in my hand I took the initiative to walk towards him, I called out – he didn’t hear my loud voice in this quiet PICK N PAY BLUFF store. So I told my son to call him – if my son could call the manager – and yet the staff couldn't do this! The manager continued to do what he was doing as I told him what had happed, I was more annoyed at this point. When “I” as a customer is talking to you being the “MANAGER” of the store– he was supposed to listen to me, understand the problem, not continue his removing of prices. I felt as if the complaint was just another dismiss. This is when my voice got louder. I am disgusted at the manner in which I was treated at the Pick and Pay bluff branch.
