The online shop disaster at PNP
I placed an online order last week and collected my goods at PNP ON NICOL. The amount charged on my bank account was more than the amount for the total cart resulting in money owed to me by pnp. I phoned over the weekend and spent 30 min on the phone with customer care who helped nothing. I was told the manager at the store dealing with the issue was on leave. Monday as in today I phoned again and spent a further 30min on the phone to be told that there is no record of my call on Saturday and that the manager is still on leave and as there is no record my issue will only start being looked at today. Not only did the call centre accuse me of lying about Saturday, nothing was done to resolve my problem. I dont see how your online shopping is convenient. Next time I will take my 8k shopping elsewhere cause clearly pnp just sucks at everything and then I have to beg for my refund like some bagger....useless service, useless
Good day Johan ******ts Nock,
Thank you for taking the time to address your concerns with us.
Kindly note the overcharged amount you are referring to is a "reservation amount" Our online shopping system was upgraded and features added was the R2 pre -authorisation and payment reservation.
Payment reservation does not constitute a payment to PnP online, but rather confirms the validity of the account information entered at checkout, and the availability of necessary funds. The exact amount (R7,539.94) is finalised and deducted from your account once picking of your order has been completed, and prior to delivery. The difference between the reserved amount and the finalised amount will be released back to you by your bank. If this has not been done, please contact your bank to release.
For more information please browse here >> https://www.pnp.co.za/payment-reservation
We appreciate your feedback and value you as a loyal Pick n Pay customer and are committed to improve continually on our service levels.
Kind regards,
