The Greatest of Poor Service Provided by PnP.

Hello People and everyone who will read this,

Today I went to shop at Pick 'n Pay in Centurion Mall, There are 10 tills with only 3 ladies working at the tills, and at the tills where cigarettes are sold there was x1 cashier. The Store often has only x3 cashiers at the till around this time of the month, its appalling considering it is the beginning of a new month and people have money to spend and all. The queues in the store were getting longer and the cashiers had zero level of urgency. I have shopped here for two months since I moved jobs to Centurion and every time I am at this store I am patient with PnP I have witnessed customers walk out of the store and go to a neighbouring store or restaurant to get food. I have witnessed The manager standing around and not doing anything whilst this happens.

Today's manager '' Alex'' received advise from me as a client who works daily with customers in real estate. I told him '' Alex it would be of great help if you stepped out of your office to help on the floor and even greater help had you grabbed customers attention and notified everyone what the hiccup is''

He later said '' The issue was that one tills' system was down and the indian gentlemen was withdrawing a lot of money hence the chaos, I rep**** and said '' That reason sounds like a junior employee's excuse for not producing results . A genuine thing to say was I am sorry and take control of the situation and ensure we as clients are aware of your challenges, customer care is not difficult just imagine yourself as the client and how you would love to be treated.''

Pick'n Pay you need to reinforce either employing more staff or providing this branch with a better branch manager and staff who will understand their role and work with diligence because that customer experience will encourage people to shop at Woolies or competitors stores.

Last but not least this happens every second day, in essence it means there is an issue with this PnP branch and head office is not visiting the store to evalaute the matter. Poor service and Poorly handled by the manager and his staff who firstly seemed very angry we asked what was happening and why there was a delay with clearing the lines, I cannot stand 26 minutes to pay for Tropika that costs R19.99.
