Terrible service and bad attitute of managers

<p>I sent my driver today at 10h54 to purchase drumsticks. He spoke to Marlene at the butchery and explained that he was looking for small drumsticks, however she showed him drumettes and packed that for him. He returned to the store within 5 mins and I informed him that it was not the correct item. He went back with it and was informed by the manager that they do not accept perishables to be returned. He came back to the store with it and I went through. Note that all this happened within 20 mins. Once there I spoke to Bekani the manager who informed me that you have a policy whereby perishables cannot be returned. I asked him for the policy and he showed me behind him the board, however I read it and told him that no where does it say perishables cannot be returned. It clearly states that it cannot be returned if you had a change of mind. By that time several staff members surrounded me and kept stressing that perishables can never be returned. I told them to read and understand the policy as they provided me with the wrong item. I didn't change my mind about what I wanted, and they said that its the same thing. Really, CHANGE OF MIND, and SUPPLYING THE INCORRECT ITEM is the same thing? Needless to say I then spoke to the senior manager Chris who came with another version of this story whereby he says that my driver specifically asked for drumettes to be pack which Marlene did. if I sent him for Drumsticks why did she supply drumettes? Now he says that my driver asked for that. Please send your managers for customer care training as CHRIS & BEKANI

Right, firstly the incorrect item was given by your staff. My driver asked for small drumsticks and she gave him drumettes, which we know is two different things. I have read your policy about 20 times already. Why should I pay for goods which you incorrectly supp****? Health risk? People take perishables from your freezer and walk around the store with it for an hour and then change their mind and leave it in the trolley? Do you throw these away or place them back into your freezer and resell? Is there no health risk when that happens? What's the health risk when this was returned to you within 10 mins? It was in a pick n pay packet and wrapped in your original packaging and tray. People touch the food in your freezer up to 100 times before it gets sold. Is this not a health risk? No worries I am aware of the consumer protection act and will be pursuing with this matter until it is resolved. I have been a loyal pick and pay shopper for years however never again.
