Terrible customer service at Pick n Pay
On the 2nd June at around 19:00 I went to fill up my car before the fuel increase and after filling up a went into the pick n pay express convinience store at the bp fuel sration and bought pnp brand 100% mangoe juice. When i got home and drank the juice I could taste that it was off. On Wednesday I went without the juice to report the matter to one of the cashiers whom I didn't catch her name but needless to say she gave me attitude and said I must bring the product back with the slip. Today on the 06th June I finally went to buy groceries and I took the off product back to the shop and met Joyce who gave me attitude that I must have not put it in the fridge but offered that I take another bottle to replace the off one and I promptly refused and insisted on a refund. She said she cannot refund me because according to the store policy I took too long to return the product. I insisted she call the manager but said she can't. Finally she called the manager and gave me the phone with heightened attitude. I spoke to the manager an Afrikanner lady who insisted I take another juice and I refused and insisted on my refund. I agreed with Joyce that i will take another juice provided she opens it and we both drink from it. After she took a sip i could tell that she tasted the offness of the juice but here pride was too big for the occasion. Joyce called Takalani who came with an even more stinking attitude saying I must prove that I put the juice in the fridge after buying it. I had to go to my car and get a similar juice which is in a bigger container that I had in my car for him to taste the difference. He tasted the difference and only after that they relented and gave me my money back. This was a classic example of self hate, I as a black customer I cannot be right, my word means nothing. After I told them that it is not the end of this story then Takalani tried to apologise and they removed the products from the shelf. Pick n Pay please talk to me.
