Terrible Customer Service and Consideration - Mulbarton Pick n Pay!

Was at my local Pick n Pay in Mulbarton last night. I've been going there for years and have ALWAYS referred them to anyone that would listen as the best Pick n Pay in the whole area. They "used" to have the best customer service I've really ever recieved and I loved doing my shopping there.

I've noticed though that my last good few visits have not been the best I've experienced - especially from a customer service point of view (very sad).

Last night I was trying to buy a small cake from the bakery counten. There were two people behind the counter and there is no other way to desctibe the service in any other way than disdainful. Pass the buck and no interest in actually serving any customers.

The store was packed and extremely busy. As I had only 4 items I decided to go to the Express Tills - 10 items or LESS. The que was from the front of the store all the way to the back, but I felt it would be petter to stand there than wait in any of the other ques with jam packed trollys also running up the isles.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait to finally get close to the tills, only to find out that of the 6 tills, only 2 are open. Lots of staff milling about behind the till bank, but no one at tills. Suddenly, I see at one of the EXPRESS tills - Till No 20 to be exact. A Pick n Pay Employee with a trolly full of items, definately NOT 10 items or less.

Perhaps the Employee was purchasing 10 different items, for 10 different People, because he would take some items out, pay for them then more items, and pay cash, then more items and pay by card, while a whole line of people are waiting to pay for thier 2,3 or 4 items.

Very dissapointing and saddening at the complete and utter disregard or their store rules by both the Till Operator and the Employee.
