Tellers not clued up

I have just been to Pick n pay to buy a few groceries when I get to the till I tell the teller that I am paying with with wicode she says what is that? I tell her its a code that you can pay with at the tellers I show her the code she says no this doesn't work here only at pick n pay hyper. This shocked me because I always shop at Pick n pay morning glen with no issues and now this lady tells me that pick n pay doesn't use wicode? This is such an inconvenience I asked her to call someone else because I know for a fact that pick n pay accepts these,she called two other tellers who also had no idea what I was talking about eventually they called another lady who had an idea what I was talking about but said its not working so I had to now pay cash. These things need to be addressed we can't be getting service from other pick n pays and not others.
