strange cheese

<p>i purchased for the first time medium fat cream cheese - balsamic & onion flavour, pick n pay brand .i bought it since i never heard of this flavour and am a fan of trying new things . it was aweful didnt look or taste or smell like any cream cheese i have ever come across , maybe it wasnt stored correctly but it was definitely not something i was going to eat or serve to my guests as i bought this for an occassion .when i first peeled the foil lid off there was a layer off an oily liquid on top , totally disgusting and off putting . the actual texture of the cheese was crumbly and stiff not smooth and soft and creamy as it should be .the best before date was 30/03/2017 and i had purchased it on 03/03/2017. the entire thing was tossed in the bin untouched .i did not have time to go back to the store and return it or show them what it looked like even though i intended to.</p> <p>it was stored correctly at all times from my side , and when i purchased it ,i had taken it from the fridge shelve .so im not sure exactly what went wrong and where it went wrong .could be the experiment off a new flavour that went wrong from pick n pays side ?</p> <p> </p>
