STONE FOUND IN TIN OF PICK 'N PAY ASPARAGUS

On 09/08/15 I opened a tin of Pick 'n Pay asparagus cuts, emptied out the brine & put some on my son's plate. I then took a s**** and ate the rest out of the tin. On taking my first mouthful I heard a crack and discovered a stone which was in the tin of asparagus. The crack I heard was a tooth which broke in half from the stone. <br> <br> I advised P 'n P of this and they then sent a courier to collect the tin and stone, which were both sent to a laboratory for analysis.<br> <br> P 'n P's Food Technologist (Annerie Louw Psaltis) then contacted me and advised that she did see traces of asparagus on the stone. I sent them the dentist's report & quotation. They then contacted my dentist to confirm his report and quotation and requested his bank account details.<br> <br> I was in pain & could not wait for Pick 'n Pay's decision and had my first appointment with my dentist. On 03/09, P 'n P advised that the supplier confirmed that it is not possible for the stone to have come from their facility and as such points to the value of R100 had been added to my smart shopper card as a gesture of goodwill.<br> <br> Really, this is how they settle claims. Who is going to pay for my almost R14 000 dentist bill????
