Stale food been sold no refund

On the 21st of April 2015 I went into the Pick n Pay store in Musgrave I saw a special<br> on the Beacon Maynards sweets so I purchased it, 2 packets for twenty rand, later that day<br> when I got home I opened the pack only to find out there was a bad odour coming out<br> of the pack, I then checked the expiry date which expired on the 12th of February 2015<br> and given pick n pays reputation I did not check the date in the store I then called consumer<br> care who asked me to bring the pack back in, she then called the store supervisor who was<br> very rude (Indian Female) she confirmed that because it was a sale item I could not exchange it and only R5 Rand could be refunded to me! This could have caused severe health <br> problems, all my details as well as the receipt are with consumer came, this is just<br> disappointing
