Specials and actually Prices at the till not the same.

Every time we have been to Pick 'n Pay Northgate (And other branches too). I have found that there is always a problem with the pricing. Showing stuff on special and when you get to the till, completely different price. We have had to watch the items going through like a hawk. I wonder how much they make off of clients not paying attention to what they are buying and what price they are paying. Just this past week, every item on special had the wrong price. It took almost an hour to check us out due to having to go find out each individual price. Even had management there. One of the items showed any 15 chocolates (Nestle) between 45 and 55 grams for R100. (Kitkats, Bar-one, Tex etc.) We chose our selection of chocolates (including a kitkat of a different flavour which we had never had before and wanted to try). On Check out we get told that that kitkat is more expensive and is not in the special. Yet the tag on the shelf said kitkat 45 to 55 grams, which it was). After a slightly heated debate, the management said he would give it to us on the special price, but we should know for the future that it is not one of the specials. In my opinion, then it should be shown on the tag on the shelf that it is not one of the specials. We got the prices for the specials on everything, but, just the attitude of management was terrible. They made you feel as if the mistakes at the till are YOUR fault and not theirs. I think I will rather take my prices to checkers and shoprite from now on who dont seem to make the mistakes and give better customer service.

My advice to everyone shopping at Pick 'n Pay, Watch carefully what prices you are paying in the end. You may be paying more than you are supposed to.
