SOUR MILK TWO WEEKS IN A ROW

SOUR MILK TWICE - Pick n Pay no name brand Milk.

We always shop at Pick n Pay Elgin Mall, kempton Park, Gauteng because the store is always clean, tidy, well stocked and the staff helpful and friendly, so imagine my disappointment two weeks.in a row when the milk we bought was sour. The first 2 x 2 litres of milk bought on the 21st of December (expiring on the 26th of December) was sour. Thinking it was a rare occurrence and my husband throwing slips away rather than keeping them, I just bought more milk from our local Spar but then..........husband went shopping last Monday (28th December 2020) I asked.him to get another 4 litres of Milk ( expiry 03 January 2020) and was horrified after taking a huge gulp of "fresh" milk and it was SOUR AGAIN!!!!! and so was the second bottle. I have been in the FMCG industry for over 20 years I find it very hard to understand how the cold chain on milk can be so badly interrupted that two different deliveries of Milk can be sour. Did Pick n Pay Elgin know that they were selling us sour milk and were hoping that the consumer would just accept it or was the potential financial loss to them of taking all that milk out of the fridge more important? Fresh milk is.not cheap and once I can forgive once but twice in two weeks is unacceptable!!
