Sold product after expiry date - Stellenbosch

I bought frozen pies and only after eating them did I see the product was already a few days past the best before date. The next time I went to the shop I didn't have my slip or the box with me to show them so I just went to the freezers and the product was still in the freezers, long past it's best before date. I did not get sick however still feel it is inexcusable to sell customers a product past it's best before date if they are not made aware. I have not had the time to complain in the shop directly. I should also add that in general I love the staff at the shop, however have been made to feel uncomfortable more than once by looks and comments from the security in the store.
