Social classing @ PnP Panorama is disgusting

I am so aggrieved with the treatment my sister and I were subjected to this morning by employees and management of the above mentioned Pick n Pay.

We went into the liquor store which is all under Christinah's management. Came across an irresistible special which showed a 6 pack of storm 440ml at R94.50 for smart shopper card holders but originally priced at R100 and if 2 packs of the said 6 pack is bought then R50 would be discounted to smart shopper card holders.( which would see me paying R150)

Naturally, my sister and I decided not to go for our usual choice but for the special which saw us getting a better value for our money.

Unfortunately, when we got to the till our discount was only R11 and the reason given just sounded like a way to insult our intelligence and understanding of the most basic rule of selling to the customer at the displayed price.

The first managerial official called to help us, Talent, was so rude and was basically short of calling us retards for not seeing his unreasonable explanation. Now to avoid bickering and unprecedented levels of arguments, I asked if he could then further escalate the matter so as to avoid causing a scene and upsetting other shoppers. He so bluntly, nevermind unprofessionally, told me I should call PnP head office and go next door to the main store to find the manager Christina, myself and he left us standing there.

Now I have never known Pick n Pay to treat its customers with such a lack of disregard and it left me feeling infuriated and mistreated at a place where I should be valued as a customer. When the manager finally graced us simple people with her presence I was left wondering if I was given a principle and standard PnP treatment or maybe certain appearances gave me off as an ******** consumer who would be barked at, talked down to and watched with lingering whispers from the entire staff which should be ensuring that I be served.

Needless to say that Christinah's attitude was no different and the most shocking of these was her telling us that the selling price is actually R120 and the displayed price is actually the discounted price. Pardon me, but is the displayed price not displayed for the consumer to actually know the price of items and therefore should be the selling price. Maybe I'm mistaken but as the buyer I calculate my spending according to what goods cost and the only way to know this is by looking at the displayed price. But not according to Christinah and PnP Panorama, they have their selling prices hidden behind their teller machines and I should just take their word for it. Has PnP now gone on individual rules and no longer has the standardized customer care rights?
