Smart Shoppers Card ****

Like many other people here, I was not aware that these points expire 31 December on an annual basis. Yes, I know now so please do not even bother pointing this out to me, if indeed P'nP bothers to reply here.

I lost some ±R1200 due to P'nP summarily deleting my points BUT NEGLECTING to warn me this will happen. I had earmarked items that I was going to purchase with this money which belonged to me, not P'nP. I receive emails aplenty advising me of special offers etc, many of which I was unable to take advantage of because the Card machines at our local Hyper generally being out of order, not printing, or quite often simply freeze up with the message "processing - please wait" or something similar. But in none of these emails was I advised about the points expiring at any time.

Logging into the website to check my account produces nothing, one cannot do this.

The Information kiosk suggested I phone the Customer Care number - what a joke. I was transferred to canned message after canned message, never once spoke to an actual human being, and then the call from their side simply cut off.

I emailed Customer Care last week. No response, my email probably joined lots of others in the bin.

I used to frequent the local Hyper 2-3 times weekly and purchases were meaningful. Unless P'nP takes action and reverts the money owed to me, there is no way on this earth that I will ever enter the store again. Plenty of good stores within 1-2km from where I reside.

The lack of customer service in this matter is DISGUSTING and HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Eric

Reviewer Update
Vanitha, Thank you for your reply and I am indeed happy to announce that during the course of the day my points were restored in full! My faith in Corporate SA has been restored and my pleasure will be completed tomorrow afternoon when I do my weekly grocery & goodies shopping at Pick 'n Pay once again. I am also pleased to say that today I received the usual P'nP email advertising their specials and my points earned, together with their expiry date, is boldly placed in a blue banner conspicuously across the top of the email. Happy I am! Regards, Eric
