Smart shopper voucher not honoured
I recently made a purchase at my local Pick n Pay using a smart shopper discount for R50 for a purchase of R500 or more. I noticed that the discount did not apply after cashing up.
I then raised this with in store management who at first did not even understand how this discount worked and therefore gave me very misleading information on it, after clearing up the confusion on their part my information was captured and sent off to smart shopper.
I received a response 2 days later that the voucher did not apply due to my purchase not accumulating enough 'base points'. Now this is a complete load of BS as far as I am concerned since nowhere on the pnp app or the sms that I received advertising this voucher was there any mention of how many base points was needed to qualify for this voucher, nor is there any indication in pnp of which units accumulate base points and which dont.
After responding to the email from the smart shopper rep I have not heard back from pnp. I feel like I was duped into purchasing for R500 to qualify for a discount which was not honoured for reasons unknown to me at the time of purchase, I definitely would not have purchased some of the items had I known that pnp would pull such a stunt. Terrible customer service from pnp!!!!

Those items do not count on your base points because you do not earn points for them, as much as your shop total was more which led to the voucher not working,
