SMART SHOPPER POINTS DISAPPEARED
My mother had over a R1000 on her smart shopper card mid December 2017 and now there is around R200! I had around R230 which I only acquired in the last six months and now it is down to R50. The responses on other similar complaints are BS - this is obviously not a rolling month to month expiry. In the terms and conditions it states that points on the card are valid for three years so how does that work? How this can be voted a favourite rewards program by customers is beyond me. It is a hassle to use the points and when you want to, you realise they have disappeared into thin air. Dischem and Spar have much better rewards programs, Dischem's points don't disappear and you can use it easily while paying at the till. Spar have instant rewards so you don't have to keep checking up on them.
Hi Annelene,
Thank you for taking the time to address your concerns with us.
Kindly accept our apologies for any inconveniences caused to you.
Smart Shopper points are valid for 12 months from the time they’re earned. Only points older than 12 months will expire and not all of your points, and points older than 12 months will continue to expire on a rolling month basis. The best way not to lose your PnP rewards is to make sure you spend them from time to time. We always use your oldest points first so use your points to save even more on every day shopping or treat yourself to something special. You can switch points on the app or via the kiosk.
We are sorry you didn't receive the communication that points are valid for 12 months from earning date via our emails or on till slips.
Please ask your mum to contact the call center on *** to be assisted by a consultant.
We value you as a Pick n Pay customer and are committed to improve continually on our service levels.
Kind Regards,
Vanitha Venketas
