Smart shopper point ****** by pick n pay
I am quiet upset of the fact that my wife and i had SmartShopper points worth about R700 in total and when I went to your Pick 'n Pay hyper by the sea and was quiet embarrassed to find out that I did not have enough points. When I checked my balance it was almost zero and I was surprised as I have never used my points, i was never informed about points expiring. when i app**** for the card i was informed the points do not expire and i can accumulate it . i ended up using my bank card to pay for what I needed and had to leave the balance of my stuff. Please can someone explain to me how is my balance so less?. there was no signage or any form of info at the store to show that points expire.
Good day Adderley,
Thank you for choosing Pick n Pay and for taking the time to write to us.
We are sorry you didn't receive the communication that points are valid for 12 months from earning date via our emails or on till slips. We will address this with our Smart Shopper team.
Smart Shopper points are valid for 12 months from the time they’re earned. Only points older than 12 months will expire and not all of your points, and points older than 12 months will continue to expire on a rolling month basis.
You had 29286 points (R292.26) that had expired on the 01/01/2018.
We have escalated to have your points re-instated, the points will reflect with 7 business days.
We value you as a Pick n Pay customer and are committed to improve continually on our service levels.
Kind Regards,
Anwar Mooideen
