Smart shopper not happy

<p>i went to the pick n pay and was looking to buy margarine. There was sunshine D 500gram margarine for R24.99 but smart shoppers pay R22.99. So, since it was (with the smart shopper discount) Cheaper than the others, we bought it. I noticed along the way that there were other products that we purchased that had a similar tag showing the price. I did not notice the specific prices, but must have bought one or 2 products along the way. After we had paid, I looked at the receipt and it was showing R24.99 for the margarine. I thought it was wrong so I went back to where it had advertised to double check it did advertise smart shopppers get it for R22.99. I then looked at the bottom of my receipt to see if perhaps it had come off at the bottom, but it had not. I went to the customer care and the person informed me that the system at head office had not updated the prices. I thought that a feeble excuse since it advertised from 7 November and it is the 12 November. At no point did anyone offer to refund me the R2. I understand that it isn't only R2, but if pick n pay are doing this nationwide it would come to a substantial amount, further, I am not sure about how many other products I purchased that did the same thing. I also would not have purchased this margarine without this **** advertising. Very disappointed as this is our local store and we do support them regularly. </p>
