Smart Shopper Cancellation

I contacted the Smart Shopper department as I was attempting to buy groceries online and to add my smart shopper card to my profile it stated my ID number is associated with another smart shopper card. I called them and mind you this is not the first time I've attempted to change or cancel the previous card. It seems an impossible task for the staff members to advise you on how to cancel your old card and to add your new one. It's proving worse than changing your bank card, It's ridiculous knowing this is so hard!!! Can someone please just assist me already???
