Smart shopper app and miscellaneous red flags
This is to do with the pnp smart shopper app.
There was a time, every Thursday, when you were offered an array of the top products you purchased as available personal discounts from which you could make a selection for your next grocery shopping outing. As I said, these products were based on the most common items you purchase. You could load items from the available list into a selected list and give you reasonably good discounts for your next shopping visit. You could load and unload as you wished.
Now, the available items are already in the selected list. Here's the big slap in the face... The items in the selected list have been put there automatically, they are products you NEVER EVER BUY but they say "picked specially for you". You cannot remove items from this list and they no longer display items you purchase regularly.
The prepaid section has been in a state of "temporarily unavailable for over a year at least. This is because they no longer offer prepaid services in the app. This is what they told me. When I asked why they don't release an update to remove it, I was told they don't care.
The savings I made less than 6 months ago being a smart shopper were at least 30 to 50 percent more than now.
The ONLY REASON I still even go to pick n Pay is because it's the closest shop to my home after work.
PS: be very careful with their meat. Sometimes there are 2 labels - front and back. Front offers a sell-by-date and the back a use by date. The use by date is more often than not, earlier than the sell-by date.
I will no longer support PnP and I will go out of my way to tell people about your very poor customer care.
