Slip and fall - Pick n Pay don't care
On Thursday 5th March, approximately 15:20, my wife and I walked into Pick n Pay Hyper Klerksdorp. As we were walking in, inside the store, there seemed to be a sticker ad on the floor. I stepped on it and to my horror felt it slipping and I fell badly on my knee. It was not a sticker ad but one of those cardboard type ads they put up that must have been left on the floor. My fall happened in front of staff and security but nobody tried to assist me. My wife and I continued to try and do our shopping but as we walked on the pain increased and I had to go home. As soon as we got home I tried to fill out the complaint form on their website but it didn't work. Then I called them and was given an email address. I sent them an email and attached photos of my injury. On Friday morning I could not go to work and went to a medical professional where I was given medical treatment and sent home with medication. By Monday morning I had not heard anything from Pick n Pay yet. And i proceeded to call them again. Customer care told me that my complaint was in an automated system which would take 2 to 5 working days. Pick n Pay simply don't care about the wellbeing of their customers. Be very careful when shopping at their stores, it's not as safe as you might think.
