Shocking treatment from Pick n Pay management
Yesterday I stopped by Pick n Pay liqour in Newtown junction to buy some drinks. I went to the fridge and saw Savanna Assorted R79. I then took a pack and proceeded to the checkout. It turned out the pack was R92 when scanned. I told the cashier of the error and she immediately asked for the supervisor, who's name is Gracious. I showed Gracious where I got the pack from and the price written above it. She told me in that its the other Savannas selling for this price, not what I chose. I asked her why it was sittingbunder the price tag and she said she does not know but she will not sell it to me at that price. I pointed out that this is poor practice and false advertising and she started ti get very rude. She walked away and shouted at me to either buy or leave the pack as she is busy and I am taking up her time. She did this in front of other shoppers and in front of the cashier that was assisting me. I asked her why they called her and why she went to look at the price with me if she would not help, was it all just to pass time? She had no answer for this. Instead she stormed off and left me humiliated, there was no neednfor any of this as I was calm and gently questioning as I have a right to. Speaking to menin the manner in which she did was robbing me of my dignity and I did not expect this from a manager. Her name, once again, is Gracious. She supervises the bakery section of Pick n Pay at Newtown junction.
