SHOCKING SERVICE AT MUSGRAVE PICK N PAY

I would like to lay a complaint about a security guard I encountered at the Musgrave store on the 6 September. I went to your store to purchase flowers with a friend of mine. As we walked in, I adjusted my scarf before sanitizing my hands and the security guard attacked me and said that he was going to fight me if I did not fix my scarf in isiZulu. He did not greet or acknowledge my friend and I, instead, he launched into an attack. I fixed it and we purchased the flowers and afterwards. I asked to speak to the manager because I could feel that I was not right, I feel disrespected and patronized. I spoke to a manager who explained the security guard had the right to speak to enforce the mask rule.

To which I said I understood but I did not understand why the security guard attacked me or shouted at me as if I was a child. I told him that I did not appreciate being spoken to in that manner. He did not reply to that but sided with his security guard. Saying that he would address the issue. The manager did not acknowledge that the security guard had spoken to me disrespectfully. I don't even feel like he did or said anything to me to show that he sympathised with me the customer.

The security guard's surname is Manzini and I cannot remember this first name. The manager I spoke to was a short, white male in his late 50s and he did not have a name badge on.

I understand that we are in COVID and that certain precautions need to be followed to ensure everyone's safety but that does not negate the fact that customers can be addressed in any way or manner. I would like to hear feedback from this manager or some sympathy because I do not feel acknowledged but brushed off as if this is a daily occurrence or I can be treated this way as a customer.
